A bit about us
Help and educate through leisure-time activities
Founded in September 1970, by John Sansbury, on behalf of his then 9 year old son Kevin, Tring Tornadoes Junior Sports Club has grown from a single group of 14 boys, to a club today with over 750 playing members across three core sports: Football; Futsal and Netball.
Football has grown in recent years to around 600 boys & girls playing and we now have 160 girls playing netball at our club. In recent years the popularity and reputation of the club has grown and many children travel from neighbouring towns to play for the various age groups.
In Football, from under 3s to under 18s we have teams playing in the West Herts Youth League, the Wycombe and South Bucks Minor Football League, South Bucks Mini Soccer Conference League, Milton Keynes & Border Counties Youth Saturday League and the Bedfordshire FA Girls Football League.
In Season 2020/21, we were at capacity in our Netball section, after another successful year and now run age groups from school year 3 up to and including school year 9, with teams playing in the Aylesbury, Welwyn and watford Leagues. Please take a look at our netball page or use the links above for more information and contact details.
We operate across the local community both in terms of playing locations, relationships with other sports clubs and supporting other charitable and good causes.
We are fortunate to have the support of key businesses, both large & small, new & well established, who enable us to sustain our current operating structures and provide vital support to our future growth and development. Special mention goes to our main & secondary football section shirt sponsors: The Home Office and Matildas Planet who are the most recent (and significant) additions to our business supporter community.
