An inclusive organisation open to all, providing opportunities to participate in sport across Tring, Berkhamsted and the surrounding villages.

Founded in September 1970, by John Sansbury, on behalf of his then 9 year old son Kevin, Tring Tornadoes Junior Sports Club has grown from a single group of 14 boys, to a club today with over 750 playing members across three core sports: Football; Futsal and Netball.

Tornadoes Sports Education & Leisure (TSEL / Tornadoes) was formed in 2021, in order to transition the Unincorporated Charitable Association Tring Tornadoes Junior Sports Club into a legal structure appropriate for the size and scale of club and charity it has become.

Tornadoes provides team sports for young people and adults across Herts, Beds and Bucks, including Football, Futsal & Netball.

  • Junior Football has grown in recent years to around 600 boys & girls playing across the U06 to U17 Age Groups. We have teams playing in the Bedfordshire FA Girls Football League, South Bucks Mini Soccer Conference and the Wycombe & South Bucks Minor Football League,

  • In Season 2020/21, Junior Netball in Tring reached capacity and we now have 160 girls playing netball at our club, across School years 3-9. Each age group now also has a waiting list. The teams play in the Aylesbury, Berkhamsted Welwyn and Watford Leagues.  Please take a look at our netball page or use the links above for more information and contact details.

We operate across the local community both in terms of playing locations, relationships with other sports clubs and supporting other charitable and good causes.

In 2021, we launched the Berkhamsted Netball League, based at Ashlyns School centred around development level junior and youth netball. Over 3 seasons it has grown to now operate across school years 5-11, with 39 teams from 9 different clubs participating.

In 2022, we created a new netball club in Berkhamsted, based at Ashlyns School. PHOENIX started out with 3 age groups (school years 7, 8 & 9) and now in it's 2nd season has over 100 players enrolled across school years 6-10.

In 2023, we launched GiANTS Netball club in Tring, with a plan to transition girls from youth to adult netball. In its 1st season GiANTS had 4 teams and 39 players enrolled.

In March 2023, we took on the Clubhouse and playing facilities at Miswell lane, Tring and that enabled us to launch a new Men Vets football team in Tring. In their 1st season they have a squad of over 30 players.

In January 2024, we achieved legal completion on the take over of Tring Corinthians FC, the Mens Senior club, based on Icknield Way, playing at step 7 in the Spartan South Midlands League.
